The winner was owned by Mr H Pulitzer, trained by Sam Darling and ridden by P Beasley. A purse of £2000 allowed for the second to receive 100 sovereigns and the third 50 sovereigns, while the breeder of winner 100 sovereigns and the second 50 sovereigns. The winner won by a head with 5 lengths between second and third.
